Scientific collaboration in the area of machine learning for “Industry 4.0” processes and medicine.

InfAI e.V, Dresden location, works in the areas of machine learning, software development and data management, among others. In the field of Machine Learning for “Industry 4.0” processes and medicine, we are looking for scientific support with immediate effect.

Requirements:

You have completed one of the following degree programmes (or equivalent): Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of statistics and stochastics is a prerequisite. Initial experience in the field of multivariate statistics is desirable. We require a high level of motivation as well as the willingness to work independently and scientifically.

What you can expect:

When data are collected – such as in patient care, pressure values, position data, images, video data and bus signals – the problem of analysing them ultimately arises. Appropriate interpretation and integration of process data facilitates decision-making. Interactive visualisation and machine learning in combination offer the advantage of an automated analysis of process data, with which correlations and patterns in images can be perceived quickly and easily. Data exploration using machine learning can be used as a method for generating process failures and process parameters for measuring limit violations.

The aim of the activity is to obtain fast, programmed and inline analysis methods for patient care and machine process, especially for process control that can be automated. For this purpose, classification methods must be implemented and validated. A basic knowledge in the field of statistical, multivariate data analysis is therefore desired.

Your tasks will primarily include:

Software development: .NET C#, VStudio
Statistical, multivariate data analysis of measurements with appropriate software and modelling.
Application and adaptation of methods: SVM, PCA, neural networks and others
Field of application: in medicine for patients, generative processes, laser-based processes, sensor and measurement technology
Remuneration is in accordance with the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff or the TVÖD.
Severely disabled persons will be given preference in case of equal suitability.

Application:

Please send your application with the usual documents (cover letter, CV, overview of grades, copies of certificates) as well as any queries by e-mail to hr@infai.org.
